Charity in Truth

In case you missed it, though if you are reading me you are probably more connected with the Catholic Church than the average “Joe,” today marks the release of “Caritas in veritate,” (Charity in Truth) Pope Benedict XVI’s third encyclical.  This follows on “Deus caritas est” (God is Love) and “Spe Salve” (On Christian Hope) (I would also read “Sacramentum caritatis” or Sacrament of Charity, after “Deus caritas est”).  Caritas is a constant theme throughout these letters, as one can see.  It will be interesting to see how the response to CiV will play out.
